Welcome to episode 76 of the Ski Instructor Podcast, featuring Anna Norlin Berg and Joel Baudin.
Anna and Joel are the hosts of the popular Swedish ski instructor podcast 'Skidlärarpodden'. When they aren't doing that, Joel and Anna are working ski instructors.
Joel runs the ski school in Kittelfjäll and is an instructor and course leader within Friluftsfrämjandet (The Swedish Outdoor Organization) for the past eight years. He's involved in instructor education through Friluftsfrämjandet and is a passionate moguls skier.
Anna is involved in training leaders and ski instructors in Friluftsfämjandet, and is chairman of the Swedish ski exams. She is an Alpine ski coach in Kungsbergets AK for U14 and U16.
She was a member of the Swedish demo team in Pomporovo and Levi.
We had a very wide ranging chat covering the backstory for Anna and Joel, instructor systems in Sweden, the technical models, hockey (again, sorry!), interski and falling off of bicycles.
I loved chatting with these two and it's a fun interview. If you'd like to listen to the interview that they did with me, you can find it here:

Welcome to episode 75 of the Ski Instructor Podcast, this week featuring Max Colvin, who you would have heard of me talk about on the podcast previously and who is the SnowPros Ski School Director of Snowsports.
Max holds the Valasian Patente and looks after the team here at SnowPros. I find Max to be an incredibly interesting guy who thinks deeply about skiing and everything else and I just had to get an interview with him for the pod.
We touched on lots of different topics, to do with how we teach skiing, our journeys to full cert, how surfing differs from snowsports and plenty more.
Max runs a successful surfboard manufacturing company, Hand Laid Eggs and if you surf, you should definitley check out his boards https://www.handlaideggs.co.uk/ he cares deeply about what he does.
You can tell from this episode that Max and I know each other quite well by now. The interview is very relaxed and is a real deparature in style from the usual interview.
Happy listening and see you on the next one.

Welcome to episode 69 of The Ski Instructor Podcast, this episode featuring Warren Jobbitt.
This interview I think is one of my best and I had an engaging and enlightening conversation with Warren across a wide variety of subjects.
We started off talking about skiing in Chile and his recent induction (for the second time) into the CSIA Hall of Fame.
We moved on to chat about technical skiing and teaching, skating (again) and the direction of the CSIA education committee. We finished off chatting about his Ultimate Ski Congress and what he has coming up this winter.

Welcome to episode 67 of The Ski Instructor Podcast, this week featuring Jamie Kagan. Jamie was on the pod recently with Derek Tate talking about the Professional Ski Instructors of Europe.
This episode we chat about his ski school, training centre and retail shop based in Nendaz.
We talked about Jamie's long and winding journey to making a life in Switzerland, building his various businesses, training ski instructors and IASI, PSIE and Interski.
I did this interview in person with Jamie in Nendaz and I always think that chemistry shows in these in person interviews. I very much enjoyed the coffee and chat with a like minded soul.
